HIPAA Information

The HIPAA Security Office, in collaboration with the HIPAA Privacy Office and the HIPAA Security Committee, represented the Clinical, Research, and Academic communities of the University, to recommend a comprehensive set of security policies for HIPAA Security compliance. In conjunction with the Medical School Central IT Services group and each department’s Security Liaison, the HIPAA Security Office takes a leadership and advisory role in developing and implementing security procedures to meet the HIPAA Security Policies on a departmental level.
