Business Continuity Center

An integral part of the Medical School's Central IT Services contingency planning is the Business Continuity Center (BCC). The Business Continuity Center (BCC) is being designed to provide the availability of critical data and the continuation of operations in the event of a catastrophic event.


The BCC can also be used for day to day functions such as:
  • “Hot-Site” for Backup Servers and Critical Resources
  • Off-site data backup and storage (SAN and replication services)
  • Off-site media storage
  • Off-site retreats
  • Training facilities
  • Tech labs and coordination center
  • Upgrade staging area

    The facility is located near the Danforth Campus and is a convenient location to all campuses with accessibility via shuttle, Metrolink, or WU parking. Other features include:
    • 24 x 7 security
    • Access Control systems for parking lot and building
    • Card Access, Video Monitoring, and Audit Controls for BCC
    • Current model calls
