New Employee Training
If you would like a personal orientation of the Service Desk Services and Lotus Notes please contact the Service Desk.

The Service Desk can assist you with any computer related problem.
If you call us, chances are we will be able to solve your problem at the time of the call using our remote control software.
If we are unable to solve the problem via email or phone, a technician will be scheduled to visit your work area.
The technician will attempt to respond within three (3) days.

Logging onto the Network
Unique Username and Password will be provided
You will be prompted to change your password upon first log-in

Tips for setting your Password:
Do not use family names, birthdates, or address
Password must contain a combination of number, letters, capitalized and/or special characters
Never write down your password and/or stick your password on your monitor.
TIP* Use a pass phrase instead of a single string of characters. They are easier to remember, but harder for hackers to guess!
(i.e. I am 2 hungry 2 eat) or (An apple a day 4 me)

Storing Files – Network space provided
Each employee is provided a personal folder on the network for storing files which is mapped as your h:\drive.
Save all work related files here (Excel or Word files for instance)
This space is provided for business documents only. Do not store personal picture files or mp3 music files on the network drive or they may be removed.

Planning to purchase a printer, scanner or PDA??
Please contact the Service Desk before you buy. The Service Desk can provide more efficient support when you buy approved equipment.
Contact the Service Desk again to schedule the installation. Do not attempt to install new devices yourself.

Installing Software or Hardware
If you get new software or hardware, always call the Service Desk to install it for you.
Only properly licensed software will be installed by the Service Desk

Please do not install anything on your computer yourself.
